Turning a day at sea into a 9.7x return on ad spend
How BrandAmp combined original video content with Meta sales campaigns for Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours.

Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours offers whale watching and marine wildlife experiences from Courtmacsherry, West Cork. To support bookings over the summer period, BrandAmp brought the experience to life through original video content and a Meta advertising campaign focused on online bookings.
The objective
Show potential customers what a day on the water could look like and turn that interest into bookings. Alongside sales, we wanted the content to introduce more people to the business and encourage engagement with its tours.
Our approach
We started by getting on board ourselves.
1
The BrandAmp team joined a sailing trip to capture original content, including boat tour footage and Q&A videos. This gave us material that showed the experience first-hand and helped prospective customers get a feel for the trip before booking.
2
Video was central to the creative approach. For an experience like this, movement, scenery and conversations on board offer a compelling way to bring the tour to potential customers’ screens.
3
We used this content in a Meta sales campaign focused on website purchases. Three video ads presented different angles on the experience, combining an engaging introduction to the tours with a clear commercial objective.
The results
The campaign delivered:
return on ad spend
website purchases attributed to the ads
people reached
link clicks
The strongest individual video ad generated 53 purchases at a 12.75x return on ad spend, accounting for almost two-thirds of the campaign’s attributed purchases.

Creative that got people talking
Our video ads brought the experience to life through Q&A footage filmed on board, scenic tour highlights paired with a customer review, and a “Trade the screen for the sea” video showcasing the West Cork coastline.
The ads encouraged people to comment, tag friends and share the experience with others, creating opportunities for organic discovery beyond the paid placements. Across the campaign, the content generated 987 reactions, 145 shares and 68 saves, adding valuable engagement alongside sales.
The “Trade the screen for the sea” video was also the strongest sales performer, generating 53 attributed website purchases and a 12.75x return on ad spend.

Engagement alongside sales
The content also attracted attention and interaction:
97,424
video views lasting at least three seconds
7,807
video plays reaching the end
987
reactions, 145 shares and 68 saves
103
Instagram follows
These results show how original content can support both sales and visibility. Potential customers could watch the experience, explore the website and share the videos with others, while the campaign remained focused on driving purchases.
By pairing content filmed on location with a clear sales objective, BrandAmp helped Atlantic Whale & Wildlife Tours turn its real-world experience into advertising that delivered measurable results.
